I like knowing how things work.

This site is the write-up pile: things I built, broke, or figured out, in enough detail to repeat, with the failures left in.

Practice / background

I'm Kevin Pham. My day job is security architecture; the path there ran through SOC work, incident response, penetration testing, application security, code review, automation, and eventually leadership and governance.

Outside of work I chase whatever seems interesting. Recent examples: an audio modem that ran 27 kbps over a 30-foot guitar cable, car and map protocols, civic datasets, small privacy tools.

When something gets written up, the test conditions, measurements, and failed attempts stay in. Those are the parts I go looking for in other people's write-ups, so they stay in mine.

Deoxy means oxygen removed. The mark applies the same idea to itself:deoxy reduces to d x y.It is a compact reminder to open a system, test the plausible explanations, and remove assumptions until the useful structure is clear.

Everything published here is independent personal work and does not represent my employer.
